The Georgia Department of Education, State Schools Division, is pleased to offer BVI Outreach Services through the Smokey Powell Center. The center is housed on the Georgia Academy for the Blind campus and provides services to any student throughout the state of Georgia who is blind or visually impaired. Services are provided at no cost to the student. Services include Clinical Low Vision Evaluations, Eye Health Clinics, Access to Technology Assessments, Equipment Loans, Outreach Consultations, and Professional Learning opportunities.
